If I'm going to write a blurb "about" me, I should start at my core,
at the very essence that makes me the man I am: my name. At the tender
age of 0, my parents dubbed me David Laszlo. Just listen to that. Let
it ring through your ears. David Laszlo. That's a name you can sink
your teeth into. I actually go by Dave, but that's the beauty of the
name. David is a common name, common enough that everybody knows the
name and usually knows someone with the handle, but it's versatile; it
has options. I can go by David, Dave, Davey, or even Vid (if I'm going
for X-gen cred). I could demand people call me
Dä-veed' if I
really wanted to gay things up. God I hate those Davids.
I should take a brief moment to comment on the profile photo above. I
am sad, because I need to shave.
I'm currently at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts studying Film and
Television Production, which is the long way of saying I'm a film
student. Truth be told, it rocks. And enjoying it now is important for
when I end up working at some video rental place.
Are You Emo? is not my first comic. Back in the day, I was the
artist for
The Garfield
Messenger in Seattle. I pumped out a strip and a political cartoon
every two weeks. The strip, gayly enough, was titled
Queer
Fish. According to Seattle kids, they had an issue in which they
rehashed all my old comics because the new artists weren't cuttin' it,
which is extremely sad because my comics sucked. (No offense if you
happen to be a new artist on Messenger staff.)
Baseball is my lone sport. Don't badmouth my Mariners. Don't diss the trident.
If you need to know anything else, send me a PM through the
forums. But remember, most
answers to your questions can be found in the first paragraph.

P.S. - I'm not emo; I'm an optimist.
P.P.S. - Screw you John Paul, I want my pixel back.
